Harajuku have led the prevalence of Japan for a long time. It was the 60's, that Harajuku established the information transmission base among the youngster culture in Japan. The Harajuku trend' emits was effected by the U. S. culture that was the memento of the 50's and started with rich fashionable youngsters called@'the Harajuku tribe' that appeared in Harajuku.

'The Harajuku trend' became in full bloom in the 80's and low-teen cultures such as 'Bamboo tribe' which is a kind of dance team were appeared mainly on and around the Takeshita street which is the main street in Harajuku.The youngsters with novel fashion who are mainly teenagers gather around Harajuku on weekends. Even now numerous trendy words are born from here. Harajuku is regarded as the town of the youngster among Japanese.

Harajuku has also another face besides as the information transmission base. There is the Meiji Shinto shrine which was constructed to enshrine the Emperor and Empress Meiji built in 1920 west next to Harajuku station, and also there is a Yoyogi Park which used to have the lodging Washington Heights of the U.S. Army built after the world war 2 next to the Meiji Shinto shrine. Harajuku which has many places to look around has been changing even now
